MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2019 – At approximately 20:00 hours, SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) firefighters responded to G2S Equipment at 1895 Saint-François Road in the Désiré-Girouard district of Dorval, QC for a fire alarms call. Pumper 262 was first due “on the box” and immediately reported smoke and fire showing from the building’s warehouse, transmitting a 10-07 (working fire). Firefighters from multiple other stations quickly responded to the scene and a 10-09 (first alarm with possible aggravation) was transmitted shortly afterward. Rotary saws were used to cut into the roof to create better ventilation and an articulating platform was used to position firefighters close to windows in order to spray water onto the smoldering fire, located mainly in the structure’s ceiling. At about 1:30 hours, firefighters transmitted a 10-10, signaling an end to the intervention.

LUNDI LE 18 MARS 2019 – Vers 20h00, les pompiers du SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) ont répondu à G2S Équipement au 1895, rue Saint-François dans l’arrondissement de Désiré-Girouard à Dorval, QC pour un appel d’alarmes incendie. L’autopompe 262 était le premier à arriver “on the box” et a immédiatement signalé que la fumée et des flammes étaient apparantes de l’entrepôt du bâtiment, transmettant un code 10-07 (incendie en cours). Des pompiers de plusieurs autres casernes ont arrivés rapidement et un code 10-09 (première alarme avec aggravation probable) a été transmis peu de temps après. Des scies rotatives ont été utilisées pour couper à travers le toit afin de créer une meilleure ventilation et une plate-forme articulée a été utilisée pour positionner les pompiers près des fenêtres afin de mettre de l’eau sur le feu fumant, situé principalement dans le plafond de la structure. Vers 1h30, les pompiers ont transmis un code 10-10, signalant la fin de l’intervention.
