SATURDAY, JULY 27, 2019 – At approximately 16:30 hours, SIM (Montréal Fire Service) Stations 29 and 47 responded to 5785 2nd Avenue at the corner of Holt Street in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie district of Montréal, QC for a call of a fire in an apartment on the third floor of a residential quintuplex. Upon arrival, first due firefighters from 29 could see flames and smoke showing from a doorway on the top floor and transmitted a 10-07 (working fire). The intervention was upgraded to a 10-09 (resources fully engaged, possible aggravation) as additional fire apparatus were sent to the scene. The department’s Command Post was not requested. The operation lasted until 17:00 hours, when a 10-10 was transmitted, signaling the end to the intervention. Paramedics were not requested to the scene and there were thankfully no injuries to any of the building’s occupants.

SAMEDI LE 27 JUILLET 2019 – Vers 16h30, les casernes 29 et 47 du SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) ont répondus au 5785, 2e avenue près de l’intersection avec la rue Holt dans l’arrondissement de Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie pour un appel signalant un incendie au troisième étage d’un quintuplex résidentiel. À leur arrivée, les premiers pompiers sur la scène du 29 pourraient voir des flammes et de la fumée se propager d’une porte au dernier étage du bâtiment et ont transmis un 10-07 (incendie en cours). L’intervention s’est passée à un 10-09 (ressources pleinement engagées, aggravation possible), alors que des unités d’incendie supplémentaires ont été envoyés sur les lieux. Le poste de commandement n’a pas été demandé. L’opération a duré jusqu’à 17h00, à quel point un 10-10 a été transmis, signalant la fin de l’intervention. Les paramédics n’ont pas été demandés sur les lieux et, heureusement, aucun des occupants de l’immeuble n’a été blessé.
