OLD MONTRÉAL: TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2019 – At approximately 21:45 hours, SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) firefighters from multiple stations responded to a fire alarms call inside Restaurant Ikanos at 112 McGill Street in the Ville-Marie district of Montréal, QC. Upon arrival, firefighters reported that light smoke was showing from a gas range located in the restaurant’s kitchen. SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal) officers were dispatched to scene to manage and shut down traffic on McGill between William and Wellington Streets. Using fire extinguishers and a thermal imaging camera, firefighters were able to locate and extinguish the smoldering fire. At 22:30 hours, firefighters transmitted all units 10-05, signaling that all trucks on the scene were back in service and available for calls.

VIEUX-MONTRÉAL: MARDI LE 16 JANVIER 2019 – Vers 21h45, des pompiers de plusieurs casernes du SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) ont répondu à un appel d’alarmes incendie à l’intérieur du Restaurant Ikanos au 112 rue McGill, dans l’arrondissement de Ville-Marie à Montréal, QC. À leur arrivée, les pompiers ont signalé la présence d’une fumée légère provenant d’une cuisinière à gaz située dans la cuisine du restaurant. Des agents du SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal) ont été dépêchés sur les lieux pour gérer et arrêter le trafic sur McGill entre les rues William et Wellington. À l’aide d’extincteurs d’incendie et d’une caméra thermique, les pompiers ont pu localiser et éteindre le feu couvant. À 22h30, les pompiers ont transmis que toutes les unités étaient 10-05, signalant que tous les camions présents sur les lieux étaient en service de nouveau et disponibles pour les appels.
