WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2018 – At approximately 22:50 hours (EST), SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal) Station 21 firefighters responded to an emergency call reporting that a fire had started inside a multi-apartment residential building at 6217 Lajemmerais Street in the Saint-Leonard district of Montréal, QC. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the fire and transmitted a 1st Alarm. Reinforcements from surrounding stations as well as multiple battalion chiefs quickly responded to the scene and ended up knocking the fire down in a matter of minutes. All residents were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
