Montréal | Urgences-Santé, CSL EMS & SPVM: Cardiac Arrest Patient Rushed to Hospital in Large Escort

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2017 – At approximately 12:30 hours, Urgences-Santé paramedics who were attending Montréal’s annual Santa Claus Parade in the Downtown district of Montréal, QC were notified that a nearby spectator was having a heart attack. Paramedics were seen grabbing a defibrillator out of a nearby ambulance on standby before running to the patient, who was later identified as a 55-year-old male. Paramedics wasted no time in rushing the patient to an ambulance for transport to hospital. More than a dozen SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal) police cruisers and a Côte Saint-Luc Volunteer EMS ambulance helped to escort the patient, responding urgently with lights and sirens. There is no update on the patient’s condition, however due to the paramedics’ quick aid, their chances of survival greatly increased.

Footage was taken on November 18, 2017.
