THURSDAY, AUGUST 3, 2017 – At approximately 3:00 PM (EST), a silver Toyota Corolla occupied by one male driver struck the rear left corner of a Mazda 3, which slammed into the back of a Subaru Outback, and ended up rolling over onto its roof. The accident occurred on Mcarthur St., between Seré St. and Griffith St. in the Saint-Laurent district of Montréal, QC. The SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), Sûreté du Québec (Québec Provincial Police) and Urgences-Santé arrived on the scene quickly, with the SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal) arriving minutes later. The driver of the silver Corolla was extracted from the vehicle and treated on-scene by firefighters and paramedics, who then transferred the driver onto a stretcher. The man was transported by ambulance to the Montréal Sacré-Coeur Hospital, which has a specialized trauma centre. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported.
