Pointe-Claire | School Bus Breaks Down While Montréal Police (SPVM) Officers Conduct Traffic Control

Here you will see SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal) officers from Neighbourhood Police Station 5 and a Pointe-Claire Inspection–Public Security Service agent attempting to control traffic during morning rush hour in the Montréal suburb of Pointe-Claire, QC. In the early morning hours of January 12, 2017, an SUV reportedly lost control and collided with a traffic light pole at the intersection of Saint-Jean Boul. and the Autoroute 40 / Trans-Canada Highway Service Road. The crash resulted in a complete shutdown of all traffic lights at this intersection, creating havoc for morning commuters. While SPVM officers were conducting traffic (and doing an excellent job, might I add), a school bus broke down in one of the southbound lanes of Saint-Jean Boul., leaving only one lane open in that direction. Officers reacted quickly, placing cones beind the bus and positioning one of their patrol cars behind it to warn drivers of the obstacle. Despite all odds and particularly nasty windchill, the officers did a remarkable job!

Footage was taken on January 12, 2017.
