Here you will see the Town of Baie-d’Urfé’s vCOPs (Volunteer Citizens On Patrol) patrolling the neighbourhood streets on Halloween night, assuring the safety of children and parents alike. Here is a brief description of their mission statement:

“Baie-D’Urfé Volunteer Citizens on Patrol program seeks to help the Town to be the safest one on the island of Montreal and to enhance community pride, involvement, safety and security. The corps of dedicated volunteers complements the local and regional emergency services and is ready to assist in daily patrols and in major emergencies and disasters.
In addition to providing daily patrols, Baie-D’Urfé’s vCOPs (Volunteer Citizens On Patrol) are actively engaged in numerous events and activities that rely on assistance, coordination, and supervision, all with a view to providing a secure and safe environment for our citizens.”
